V. Sattui Muscat, 2005
Unique, with fresh-grape flavors, this excellent dessert wine has nuances of apricot and orange blossom. Delicate, sweet and refreshing. Goes great with fresh fruit desserts or with blue cheeses. This wine won a gold medal at the taster's guild.
V. Sattui is a mid-size vineyard in St. Helena, California. They sell only direct to
consumers, so you can't get these wines at retailers.
In 2006, V. Sattui was named the winery of the year in CA for the second time in three years. Their wines are consistently really great. Here's a link to the winery site: http://www.vsattui.com/. Donated by Jan Stirm

V. Sattui Sauvignon Blanc, 2005
Packing a lot more fruit, color and flavor than other rosés, our Gamay Rouge begins where White Zinfandel leaves off. The secret is that we give the juice extended skin contact (for three days) prior to cold fermentation, pumping over twice a day to achieve a beautiful cherry red color with the flavors of ripe spring strawberries. Have it with anything, from chicken to steak, shrimp to burgers, cheeses to fruits. Donated by Jan Stirm
Value: $20
